Absolutely. Our shared tours are designed for individuals, couples, and families alike. Many solo travelers love the social vibe and leave with new cruise buddies.

Depends. We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your Norwegian Spirit shore excursions; however we realize that there are many valid reasons that this can happen. In the event of cancellation we will refund any payment made to Japan Shore Excursions (less any cancellation fee that is applicable) within 14 days of our receipt of your written cancellation request.

The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

  • More than 40 days prior to trip departure: 10% of the deposit paid is non-refundable. This will be saved for your next trip with us. The rest of the deposit paid will be refunded (bank fee levied by your end)
  • 40 – 30 days prior to trip departure: 35% charged of the deposit paid
  • 29 – 15 days: 50% charged of the deposit paid
  • 14 – 10 day: 75% charged of total amount
  • Less than 10 days or No show: 100% charged of total amount

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your willingness, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

No need to worry. We’ve got it handled. Our team monitors NCL Spirit's real-time docking information and adjusts your tour departure accordingly. Plus, we always build in a buffer, so even if your ship docks slightly later than expected, you'll still enjoy a smooth, stress-free experience and get back to the ship on time, every time.

In case the Norwegian Spirit cruise ship is unable to dock at ports or tender can’t discharge passengers, we will refund you Lunch (if any) and entrance fee. As for the guide and vehicle expenses, we will try our best to negotiate with our service providers to minimize the cancellation charge since we have arranged/sent them to the port to welcome you. We will advise you in specific details if this is case and get back to you with the refund amount at our soonest possible.

From the very first inquiry about tour options, the sales associate Mr. Thomas was quite eagerly helped us to tailor-make the 2 tours from Osaka and Kobe ports. Multiple emails exchanged between us to include maximum amount of attractions for each tour. Thomas went above and beyond in arranging and coordinating these tours.

Great Shore Excursions in Japan

We did three Excursions with Shore Excursions Asia while touring Japan. Our guides were fluent in English, were well prepared and versed in the local history and provided expert tours and compassionate care for our group. Our drivers were courteous and helpful and safely drove us to all of our destinations. We would definitely use this tour group again. We had a great time.

Two Private Tours - Seoul, South Korea & Kyoto/Uji, Japan

We had a two week cruise in Asia with private tours at every stop and used Japan Shore Excursions for two ports. I had very specific things I wanted to do in Seoul - just shopping at older markets. Our guide, Jen in Seoul was wonderful and she managed to sneak in some info about Seoul even though I just wanted to shop on Insadong Street.

She had not received the final tour list but went by my printed list. The driver was always just where we needed to be. In Japan I went to a doll shop in Kyoto and Tea Plantations/Shops in Uji. We even had a director from the JSE company to drive us to the tea plantation. JSE managed all my requests and adjustments to the schedule and everything went smoothly.

We had two separate guides in Kyoto/Uji - Minako and Aki - and they were both very knowledgeable and accommodating. Our driver - Daichi (?) - was just super. We hope to return to Kyoto and plan to use JSE to see more sites. Also, Alex, our "planner" online was very helpful in refining the final tour.

Beautiful Japan

I booked Japan Shore Excursions because of reviews on TripAdvisor. All I can say is it was the best decision ever made. I booked a two day private tour in Tokyo and was so lucky to have Nick as my guide. He study in the US so he was fluent. He knew his Japanese culture and history which he shared with us and made our touring so much more interesting.

Then we booked a two day private tour in Koyto and got the lovely Yoko as our tour guide. She was so sweet and so knowledgeable about all the lovely places we visited. She also took us to the best place to shop.

I would have to say Japan Shore Excursions should be your last stop, look no more.
They are easy to book worked very closely with Kaycee and changed my itinerary so many times with no problem

Excellent company

I would choose this company again next time we travel to Asia. Fiona was so easy to work with, very professional and always quick to respond. I had booked ahead and paid in advance for four ports of call in Asia.

Several ended up cancelled by Norwegian Spirit due to itinerary changes caused by the typhoon in Japan. Fiona was quick to refund our money on the missed ports, and to change dates and times on the ports we still were able to see. Her tours were well organized, and well run with great guides who all spoke excellent English.

Nagasaki and Kochi

My family and I, a party of 12 persons, just came back from a 9 night cruise of Japan aboard the Diamond Princess. Unfortunately, Typhoon Lan caused 3 ports to be canceled; however, the ports that we did go to were wonderful with Shore Excursions Asia.

We truly enjoyed our visit to Nagasaki and Kochi. Our tour guides were patiently waiting at the port terminal, the vehicles were nice and clean, and the itineraries were awesome. If ever we go to Japan again, would definitely book with Japan Shore Excursions!
