Full Itinerary

Upon arrival in Osaka or Kobe port, you will be transferred to Arashiyama to discover Okochi Sanso villa – the most breathtaking villa in the area. This beautiful site is outstanding at lovely building and gardens such as a Zen meditation hall, living quarters, and Japanese-style teahouses. You can indulge the taste of Japanese traditional specialty by a cup of green tea.

Then, we will move to Arashiyama bamboo grove which is considered as one of the top spectacular sights in the land of Rising Sun. By a small way among tall green bamboo groves, we freely walk along, immerse into the external tranquil space and soak in the wonderful harmony of light wind likely waving bamboo tree. It will be a memorable experience to release in the atmosphere of Arashiyama bamboo groves.

Next, Nonomiya Shrine is a must-see site in our Arashiyama day tour from cruise port. It is as the sacred place for Imperial unmarried princesses who prepare to be High Priestess of the Grand Shrine of Ise. This site is not a huge place with various sightseeing spots but an important spiritual meaning.

Our journey will come to the last site – Tenryuji Temple, the World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. It is also the number one impressive Zen temple in Arashiyama area. According to a legend, a priest used to dream about a dragon rising from the river at this spot. After that, Japanese people constructed this temple with an early name as “Heavenly Dragon”. We will have a chance to enjoy views as driving through Togetsu-Kyo Bridge on the way back to Kobe port.
