Po Nagar | The Temple

The Po Nagar Cham Tower complex rises above the Cai River mouth on a granite hill 3 kilometres from Nha Trang's centre. The four surviving towers were built between the 7th and 12th centuries by the Champa, a Hindu-Buddhist maritime kingdom that controlled the South China Sea trade routes. They represent the most significant Cham religious site in southern Vietnam.

The main tower is dedicated to Po Nagar, the Mother Goddess of the Realm, and remains an active shrine visited daily. The Cham civilisation outlasted the Khmer, survived Chinese domination, and only finally absorbed into the Vietnamese state in 1832. Our guides trace this history with the depth it deserves.

The Highlands | Jungle Vietnam, 50 Minutes from Port

Fifty minutes from Cam Ranh Port, the coast gives way to the Truong Ssn mountain range and a landscape of extraordinary natural variety.
