Full Itinerary
The driver and guide will pick you up the port to start your shore trip to Sasebo. You then head straight to the first destination – Ohashi Kannon. Right to the name, the temple was built to dedicate to Kannon, the goddess of mercy and compassion. Founded by a priest over the 8th century ago, Ohashi Kannon is a famous place for pilgrims. It is surrounded by a lush green forest and porcelain pink cherry trees.
Afterward, your driver takes you to the traditional Japanese-style guest house, Yamashita house which was built in the 19th century. The spotlight of this house is that it was constructed without a single nail by the hands of highly skilled craftsmen. Stroll around the house, you will feel the quiet and peaceful atmosphere and visit the 300-year sake brewery nearby. Reward yourself with a glass of scrumptious sake and pick up some bottles as souvenirs for your beloved at home.
Your shore excursion continues on to Kujuku Islands Observation. Although kujuku means 99, in fact, there are over 200 islands in the area. The small scale does not provide enough space for inhabiting, so most of them belong to a national park. Keep your camera ready to capture the most amazing photos ever. Trip ends when your driver transfers you back to the port.
