Meet Your Guide & Depart from Port
Your licensed English-speaking guide greets you at the port and escorts you to your private, air-conditioned car or coach. Start the tour heading south toward Okinawa’s historical memorial sites.
Himeyuri Monument & Peace Museum
Visit the solemn Himeyuri Monument, dedicated to the young female students and teachers who perished during the Battle of Okinawa. At the Peace Museum, learn about the lives of these students, their tragic fate, and Okinawa’s deep commitment to peace. Personal stories and photographs create an emotional, immersive experience.
Peace Memorial Park
Next, explore Peace Memorial Park, located on the southern coast where some of the fiercest fighting occurred during WWII. Walk through open spaces lined with engraved names of victims, visit the Cornerstone of Peace, and reflect at the serene seaside surroundings. The park powerfully commemorates lives lost and emphasizes Okinawa’s message of global harmony.
Okinawa World & Gyokusendo Cave
Head to Okinawa World, a theme park celebrating traditional Ryukyu culture. Visit the Gyokusendo Cave, Okinawa’s largest limestone cave, stretching over 5 km (with ~900 meters open to visitors). Marvel at dramatic stalactites, cool underground streams, and cathedral-like formations. Afterward, explore the craft village, see local glass-blowing or weaving, or catch an optional Eisa drum performance (depending on schedule).
*Note: Gyokusendo Cave is not suitable for wheelchair users due to numerous steps, high humidity, and steep or narrow pathways inside the cave.
Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping Street
Enjoy free time at Kokusai Dori, the vibrant heart of Naha city. Browse souvenir shops, snack on sata andagi (Okinawan doughnuts), or pick up shisa statues, awamori liquor, or traditional crafts. It’s a perfect way to experience the urban charm of Okinawa before heading back.
Return to Port
After a rich and well-rounded day, your guide and driver will return you to the cruise terminal with plenty of time for boarding.
