The broad streets in the district are fringed by hundreds of cherry blossom trees that fully bloom in spring, from late April to early May annually.

There are six of remaining houses that you can witness the traditional life of samurai families which are from middle to wealthy classes. The Aoyagi House and Ishiguro House are the two most appealing that attract lots of visitors come to visit.
