Full Itinerary

Picked up by your guide and driver at Shimonoseki port, you then head to the first place of the shore trip, Kanmon Bridge. It is the suspended bridge crossing Kammon Straits, a stretch of water separating two of Japan’s four main islands: Honshu and Kyushu. Fit with the blue sea and lush green hills around, the bridge has the greenish gray color that can secretly hide in foggy days.

After that, pay a visit to Mojiko Retro Area, a part of Moji port serving as an international trading port of Japan from the late 19th century. Visiting the port, you can admire the modern architecture of Western-style buildings reflected on the surface of the calm blue sea.

You then make your way to the Mimosuso River Park, a historical site where exhibits many replicas of big cannon. It reveals the glorious war of the old Japanese from the past. Afterward, you will be driven to Chofu Castle Town which is used to be a political center of Japan in the past. The townscape now is the remains of various samurai residences built after Mori’s settlement. There are a lot of things to explore from various ancient structures such as rock walls, samurai houses, longhouses with gate, and so on.

Last but not least, you will have a chance to visit the Kaikyo Yume Tower. Known as “Holy places for lovers”, the 153-meter tower provides the eye-bird view of the entire city, Inland Sea, Ganryu-Jima Island, Kanmon Channel, and the Kyushu Mountains. Trip ends at a good time, your driver will take you back to the port for your departure.
