Meet your private guide and driver upon pick to Mount Hakkoda, best known as a snow paradise where you can go skiing, hiking and experience Japanese hot springs. Easily accessible via the Hakkoda Ropeway, take your time to enjoy the fresh atmosphere and picturesque natural surroundings.
Then head to Oirase Stream to be surrounded by the magnificent scenes of colorful seasonal changing leaves from lush green in spring and summer to a brilliant mixture of red, yellow and orange in autumn. Enjoy the impressive beauty of a dozen waterfalls and many bridges as well.
Take a short break during lunch time then hop on Lake Towada Cruise to have a close-up view of the peninsulas. Or explore the small town of Yasumiya which includes minor attractions such as the Towada Shrine, a small nature museum, and a statue of young Tohoku women dedicated to the area’s designation as a national park. Along the road around the lake lies several observation decks where panoramic views can be seen.
After fully experience Aomori’s nature, visit the city’s main landmark Aomori Prefecture Tourist Center ASPAM where you can grab yourselves some local food, souvenirs, and handicraft products, observe the panoramic view over Mutsu Bay from the 13th floor, take a look at photographic panels of Aomori’s natural beauty as well as watch Nebuta Festival’s videos and other traditional performances.
