Full Itinerary

Meet your guide and driver at the port and start your shore trip to Miyajima, a small and romantic island less than an hour outside the city of Hiroshima. This short tour offers you a chance to participate in three traditional Japanese activities giving you cultural experiences. Dress on a kimono, traditional costume of the country, while taking part in Japanese calligraphy lessons. You will be instructed to write some basic Japanese words including your name.

Then you learn more about Japanese tea culture by taking firsthand experiences on performing a tea ceremony. Also, the lesson includes the instruction of cooking one of the Japanese cuisine’s favorite snack foods with the onigiri recipe. Onigiri are balls of rice which are wrapped with nori seaweed and contain a meat or vegetable filling.

During the lessons, your teacher takes photos and then send them to your email address. Those interesting experiences take place in a centuries-old temple with lovely gardens. After nearly 2-hour experience, you finish the tour by returning to the port.
