Full Itinerary

Upon arrival at the port, meeting our local guide and driver, we will start this Kochi shore excursion by a scenic drive to the first destination – Monet’s Garden Marmottan. Claude Monet, a famous art creator of this garden, desecrated all his heart and spirit to find out the gorgeous side of plants and flowers.

The garden area includes three small gardens: Flower Garden, Water Garden, and Light Garden. The names reveal all about these gardens’ features. The Flower Garden is a paradise of lively, colorful and lovely flowers, making it as an impressive palette. Water Garden, affected by Monet’s passion for Japanese wooden hand-prints, is a perfect harmony of water lilies pond with an idyllic taiko bridge, Japanese wisteria trellis, and bamboos surround. The Light Garden, the memorial moment of Monet about the journey to the Mediterranean Sea, is elegant and exquisite with lush green tall plants such as palm and olive trees as well as many exotic flowers.

We will take lunch before visiting Makino Botanical Garden where we can enjoy the impressive works of a well-known Japanese botanist Tomitaro Makino. There is a variety of growing plant species discovered by Makino inside the garden that you can take a discovery. Have time to explore the garden by yourself, soak in the fresh air and immerse into spectacular scenery. The driver will drive you back to the port at a favorable time and trip ends.
