In most cases, private shore excursions offer a significantly better experience than cruise line group tours. You travel only with your own group, set your own pace, have a dedicated local guide who speaks fluent English, and travel in a comfortable private vehicle.

Timely return to the ship is our single most important operational commitment. Japan Shore Excursions Team begins by planning every itinerary around your ship's all-aboard time, building in a buffer of at least 60-120 minutes beyond our estimated return.

If your ship's schedule changes for any reason, we are notified and adjust in real time. In over twelve years of Japan cruise operations, we have never caused a passenger to miss their ship.

If your ship cancels a port call, arrives late, or departs early, we will provide a refund policy or help you rebook on your next available port day (depends on availibility). Our operations team monitors all Sapphire Princess port schedule notifications and will contact you immediately if any change affects your shore excursions.

Absolutely. We design every shore excursions with your comfort in mind: unhurried pacing, frequent rest opportunities, air-conditioned vehicles, comfortable footwear advice, heat and humidity guidance, and guides who are experienced at supporting guests with varying mobility levels.

Every tour listing clearly states the expected walking level: light, moderate, or active. Therefore, you can choose the right experience. We can also adapt itineraries to avoid steps, uneven terrain, or long walks upon request.

After booking, we send you a detailed meeting instructions document specific to your port of call. In most Japanese cruise ports, your guide will meet you just outside the cruise terminal exit, holding a sign with your name.

In larger ports like Yokohama, we include a clear map reference and contact number for your guide. You will receive full logistics briefing within 48 hours of confirmation, and your guide will be reachable by phone from the moment your ship enters port.

We would deeply regret your decision to cancel your Celebrity Millennium shore excursions; however we realize that there are many valid reasons that this can happen. In the event of cancellation we will refund any payment made to Shore Excursions Asia (less any cancellation fee that is applicable) within 14 days of our receipt of your written cancellation request.

The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

• More than 40 days prior to trip departure: 10% of the deposit paid is non-refundable. This will be saved for your next trip with us. The rest of the deposit paid will be refunded (bank fee levied by your end)
• 40 – 30 days prior to trip departure: 35% charged of the deposit paid
• 29 – 15 days: 50% charged of the deposit paid
• 14 – 10 day: 75% charged of total amount
• Less than 10 days or No show: 100% charged of total amount

After the trip has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your willingness, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
