I would probably recommend to those tourists who choose to go to Arashiyama to take more UV protection of different kinds and some cooling devices in case of heat. Another tip would be to bring some mosquito protection.

This was the fourth guided tour we went on in Japan and it was, by far, our favorite! Our guide was so kind and welcoming. He spoke great English and took amazing photos of us in the bamboo forest. It looked like no one was there but us even though there were a lot of people. This tour didn’t feel like as much walking as others I’ve done and the pacing was perfect.
